Translating classic details of track suits into denim. From the start of the collaboration between Tommy Hilfiger and racer Lewis Hamilton the designs turned automatically into racing inspired statements.

The main focus was laying on the knees, sportswear details as elasticated waistbands with branded cords, the silhouette and rigid fabrications to express strength. If you look closely to the details you will find the Tommy flag coming back through the collection, using different shades to create a differentiation between the patched pieces. Brand identity is keen, this makes the capsule, the color-ways, the stripes, the flag and the fonts it’s all kept in Tommy’s spirit. Using modernized branding technics like plastisol as back-panel print on our oversized trucker, embroidery on unexpected locations and patched denim in a biker-pant form .

The denim pant with patched knees and different shades was worn by Lewis Hamilton. First on track denim trucker with patched stripes, elasticated waistband and back print was captured by WGSN and presented as new in denim during Milan’s fashion week.
